It's the law! Be to school on time every day

Washington State RCW 28A.225.020/House Bill 2449

The law requires a parent conference to create an attendance plan when your child has:

  • 2 unexcused absences in a month
  • 5+ excused absences in a month or 10+ excused absences in a year (Unless there is a pre-arranged absence in writing)

A full day absence is when a student misses 50% or more of a school day
